Backup and Restore -
Change Settings
|
| |
| The majority of
systems evolve over time. Hardware is upgraded or
replaced due to failure, new software is added and
old programs eliminated, and the organizational
structure of data file storage changes as interests
and space requirements dictate. It's reasonable to
assume a backup strategy will also need to be
modified to accommodate the system evolution. That's
where the [ Change Settings ] option comes into
play. |
| 1 - Open
Backup and Restore/Recovery using your preferred
method. |
| 2 - Click
the [ Change Settings ] link. If UAC prompt appears,
click [ Yes ] to continue. The [ Set Up Backup ]
window will open. |
|
|
| 3 - From
this point forward, changing settings is no
different than the initial setup before the first
backup was run. If you want to review what I said
there, go to Windows 7 Backup and Restore - Initial
Setup and begin reading at the Selecting the Backup
Location section. |

- Important Information -
The Elder Geek sites contain many articles and suggestions for
modifying the Windows operating system. I've tried these
tweaks and tips on many systems. Sometimes they work,
sometimes not. The point is, ensure you have a current,
tested backup of all system and data files and understand
how to restore the system in case something goes very wrong.
You can still yell at me, but I assume no responsibility for
your actions and use of the information and disclaim any
