What Happened to the Share Tab in Folder Properties?
To share files and folders in Windows 2000 it was a simple matter of
right clicking a folder and setting the share properties from the
context menu. Windows XP makes the share option invisible by
default.
To restore this
functionality in XP:
[My Computer] [Tools] [Folder Options]
Select the View tab from Folder Options Property Sheet
Locate the Advanced Settings section
Scroll down to Use Simple File Sharing (Recommended) and remove
the checkmark.
Select [Apply] [OK] to exit.
