Basic How To Articles for XP Newbies
There are still a lot of people out there that have never
had any experience using a computer, be it in the home or
the workplace. As hard as that is to believe, it's true.
Things an experienced Windows user takes for granted are
like a different world to someone switching on a computer
for the first time. This was really pounded home to me when
a relative, 60 years old and absolutely no computer
experience, recently purchased a system. I'll admit I shook
my head in disbelief at some of the questions she asked, but
when I thought about it, why would she know the
answers to these questions? Computers and Windows XP were a
totally foreign environment to her.
The more I thought about her questions it became clear
there is a need for some basic instruction. If you're an
experienced XP user then these little, ummm article-ettes,
will bore you to tears, but if you're just starting out with
computers and XP or know someone that's bombarding you with
basic questions then they may be just the ticket to help you
maintain your sanity and provide some much needed help. Each
section contains illustrated How-To articles that are quick
and to the point. No frills or in depth analysis.
