Application Freezes When Using File Open
Dialog Box
Problem:
The network user tries to open a document using the File Open dialog
box. When the Look In: drop down box is clicked the dialog box and
the associated application appear to stop responding. More than
likely this is caused by an unreachable network connection.
Solution:
Remove the unreachable network connections to prevent the dialog box
and application from not responding while the drop down list is
being populated.
- Open Internet Explorer
- Click on Tools ->
Disconnect Network Drive.
- Disconnect all network
connections that are unreachable.
