You can download it from Microsoft or install it from there

I concure. Not having SP1 installed is the most likely suspect here... :D

Recieved your e-mail Jeff and Grimnar42 is correct. I just completed a full-reinstall and loaded SP1a prior to Autopatcher and ran into no serious problems.

I previously order a CD(SP1a) from Microsoft(grimnar42 gives link).

Have a nice day :D :D

I cannot find out 3 things about Autopatcher:
1. Apparently one is supposed to replace the original files (I have the Full version) when applying the 2 fixes for autopatcher. I would like to know how I do that?
I mean if autopatcher has a zillion files, where will I locate the originals so I can replace them. They mean to delete them right? I mean after I click on the autopatcher fixes, how will I know what the files look like so that I can replace their original clones. I guess I have to install the fixes first, otherwise how would I know what the original files that had to be replaced looked like. Is this correct?

2. To install the Full Autopatcher, from what I have read, I just double-click on the autopatcher program and it does all the rest. Except apparently there is supposed to be a place/option that allows me to select what I do or don't want to have autopatcher install. Is this correct?

3. Can I install autopatcher from the My Documents folder?

Thanks alot for your help everyone.

The first file is an exe file. Run that, and it will update itself.

The second file is a zip file. There are 2 files in there which you need to extract somewhere on your computer (eg. desktop).
The 2 files are:
Autopatcher Core.db.sgn
&
Autopatcher Core.db
Do a search of your computer for these 2 files.
Then, cut the newer extracted files (eg. from desktop), and paste them into the folder where the older versions exist. Then click yes to replace the older files.

Done!

It doesn't matter where you saved the downloaded file to, just run it whereever it is. It will do the rest. :(

;) I have just joined this Board today, and in reading through the Posts I came up with a question. If I have automatic update enabled and all of the updates have been d/l'd and installed, is there any need for me to install the autopatcher that you have on this site. Thank you.
