Create Shortcut to Folder Options Window

Depending on the type of work you do it's often convenient to have a shortcut to the Folder Options Window.

Create the Shortcut

• Right click an open area of the Desktop

• Select New | Shortcut

• Type "control folders" as shown in Fig. 01 and click the Next button

• Name the shortcut. I used Folder Options Window as shown in Fig. 02. Click the Finish Button.

• Shown on the left In Fig. 03 is the standard shortcut that will be created. In the center is the same shortcut with a different icon that can be changed by right clicking and selecting Properties | Change Icon... button | Shortcut tab. Don't forget that you can use TweakUI to get rid of the little arrow in the lower left corner that signifies a shortcut, as shown on the right.

Place the shortcut wherever it's convenient. I like a clean desktop so I place mine in Quick Launch on Taskbar.
