Auto-Complete
Passwords Not Retained
This is a known
issue in Windows 2000 and Windows XP that Microsoft has addressed in
the Knowledge Base. Microsoft states the symptoms as follows:
"When you run
Outlook Express using Microsoft Windows 2000 or Microsoft Windows XP
and connect to your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to retrieve
e-mail messages from a Post Office Protocol (POP) server, your
password is not retained even though you have chosen to save it."
What they say does
occur, but the same problem with auto-complete entries can occur in
Internet Explorer. The fix is the same. For the complete article:
